This interactive tree comprises the families
of everyone with the surname Fenn, Fenne, or Fen that I have been
able to find with links to Suffolk during this time period. Many
families had connections to the towns of Beccles, Bramfield,
Ipswich, Chediston, Coddenham, Glemsford, Felixstowe, Hadleigh,
Nayland, Sudbury, Somersham, Westhall, & Woodbridge. Most
stayed in Suffolk, but a few have strayed over into Essex,
Norfolk, London, or travelled as far as Canada, China &
Australia. Some common occupations were carpenters, teachers,
innkeepers, clergy, artists or authors.
Please contact me if you recognise someone
- I probably have more details or know of a fellow researcher.
And please let me know if you think someone is missing by
clicking on the E-mail link below.
When the screen starts click
on the " []
" toolbar at the top to see the
index of people. Move your mouse over the list to see a basic
list of dates and places. Be warned that I have not been able to
confirm all dates or relationships cited. If I have
"calculated" the birth date I probably have recorded a
baptism date seperately. Some people may appear twice if I have
not (yet) been able to confirm they are the same people. Contact
me for more information and I can forward you to the original
source.
Can't see anything? The program
takes a few seconds to load about 170kb, that's more than 1600
people, you can see progress in your status bar below...
You waited & still can't
see the tree in the little box? Make sure you have java enabled
in your browser - go to "Tools/Options" in IE, or
"Edit/Advanced" in Netscape. Make sure your virus
checker allows java applets. If your Netscape hasn't got Java
loaded click on the little grey box to download it.
Microsoft has stopped shipping
Java with some configurations of Windows. If you don't have it
installed, you can download the Java plug-in from Sun here: java.sun.com
